STAFF

Big sisters and brothers for 2020 Grade 8’s - Rise to the occasion
Learners in higher grades volunteer to assist with orientating Grade 8 learners to assisting in all facets of school.
Academic and extra mural – we will see them taking the lead.
Goodwood College relations with community police
The school regularly gets courtesy visits from the local police and introductions to new police members.
Goodwood College has frequent visits from SAPS and communication between the school and the communication officer means a lot. The school salutes the team for their patience and warm-hearted interest in our community.
Grade 8’s greet their parents and meet the principal
The first day of high school can be a daunting experience but the school aims to make this a memorable and relaxed day for the learners.
After a formal and hearty welcome from the principal, the parents greeted the Grade 8’s and they had to be ticked off in the register and the learners then begin their new journey.
The Master Spelling Bee Competition - English
The Master Spelling Bee competition saw a learner from Goodwood College placed third and four learners also participated at provincial level 2019.
Talent completion hosted by Afrikaans.com
A learner from Goodwood College took part in the talent search competition and did a rap performance.

Youth Citizen Action Programme (Y-CAP)
The Youth Citizens Action Programme (Y-CAP) is a youth development programme that empowers, skills and motivates new generations of active citizens.
The programme is powered by Empowervate Trust (NPO 132-121) and its funders (Deutsche Bank South Africa Foundation and DSV Mounties) and is implemented in collaboration with the National Department of Basic Education.
Goodwood College participated in the YCAP programme in 2017 and 2019. In 2017, our theme was water conservation. The College was placed 1st placed at the Provincial Competition. The college was placed 5th Place in the high school category at nationals in Durban.
#droomgroot17 winner
A Goodwood learner was the lucky winner of the #droomgroot17 competition which was held by Afrikaans.com.
Afrikaans.com compensates him by investing R10 000 in his dream. Simon Witbooi, also known as HemelBesem will be a mentor for the learner in realizing his dream, to chat rhyme.
